Our Mission

The mission of The Moeller Observatory is as follows:

• Push the boundaries of amateur astronomy

• Provide inspiration through a deeper engagement with fundamental science

• Support local eco-tourism and development

The Moeller Observatory will support this mission of expanding what’s possible by providing amateur astronomers access to world-class technology, in an environment that is conducive to maximizing those capabilities.

We also make this technology accessible to the people of this region through our partner CAS, to fulfill our goals of education and inspiration. Whereas this type of technology is typically in distant, inaccessible locations, by placing it here we strike a balance between opportunity to explore, and access to inspire.

And as we leverage this pristine landscape and dark sky to fulfill our goals, we also aim to uplift and promote local eco-tourism, and positively affect the local economy and community.
